IAPA aims to promote and improve clinical, ethical and scientific standards in the field of Audiological Medicine.
Audiological Medicine covers all topics from medical sciences to psychological, educational and social aspects of diagnosis and rehabilitation of people with hearing, balance and communication disorders.
IAPA promotes international symposia in audiological medicine and also certifies notional and international courses within the field.

Membership is open to all medically qualified professionals working in the field of audiological medicine. Annual membership dues are €50.

I. A subscription of the journal Audiological Medicine.
Annual subscription of the journal Audiological Medicine is included in the membership dues. The journal Audiological Medicine is the official organ of IAPA. This international journal aims to provide a forum for research into hearing, balance and communication disorders. There are 4 annual issues, 2 regular issues and 2 special issues. The topics of the special issues include: genetics of hearing, inner ear pharmacology, inner ear plasticity, tinnitus, and otoneurological evaluation of children.

II. 20% discount and free delivery of the Textbook of Audiological Medicine.
Textbook of Audiological Medicine: The publisher offers 20% discount and free postage delivery to IAPA members provided that the book is ordered directed from the publisher, Taylor and Francis.
The Textbook is edited by Linda Luxon, Joseph M Furman, Alessandro Martini, S. Dafydd G Stephens. Publication date was in December 2002. The book counts 972 pages with 50 colour illustrations, 250bw illustrations and 475 artworks. The price, with IAPA discount, is €120 (€180).
